
Mattia Binotto Welcomes Driver Speculation for Audi Team
Mattia Binotto, the head of Audi's racing team, has stated that he plans to keep his current driver lineup through 2027, viewing speculation about potential new drivers as a positive sign for the team's credibility.
Currently, Audi sits eighth in the standings, aiming to surpass Haas in the latter half of the season. The team features veteran driver Nico Hulkenberg and newcomer Gabriel Bortoleto, who have been the subject of speculation linking them to other drivers like Oscar Piastri and Carlos Sainz.
Binotto, who has previously worked with Sainz at Ferrari, emphasized his satisfaction with the existing drivers, describing them as fast and capable. He noted that the speculation surrounding other drivers reflects the growing recognition of Audi's potential in the racing world.
