Mavericks Injury Updates: Sasser Set to Debut, Aldama Still Out
Marcus Sasser, the Mavericks' new point guard, has missed the first three preseason games due to a left adductor injury but is anticipated to play in the team's final preseason match on Friday, according to head coach Dusty May.
In contrast, forward Santi Aldama, who had arthroscopic knee surgery in March, is making progress but will not be available for the upcoming game. Additionally, Morez Johnson Jr. is close to returning from shin splints, while Moussa Cisse is recovering from a left ankle sprain sustained during a game against New Orleans.
May noted that Cisse's injury is not serious, and his absence from practice was precautionary. He emphasized the importance of player safety during preseason games to avoid risking further injuries.
