Max Gawn Raises Concerns Over Concussion Contracts in AFL

Melbourne captain Max Gawn has voiced concerns regarding the evolving nature of player contracts in light of a secret concussion deal made by Geelong with a player who has a history of head injuries.

This deal places all future legal responsibility on the player, thereby shielding Geelong from potential litigation. Gawn highlighted that many players might feel compelled to accept any contract to extend their careers, which could leave them in a vulnerable position.
