Max Verstappen Aims to Break Singapore F1 Drought

Helmut Marko has expressed optimism that Max Verstappen will finally achieve victory at the Marina Bay Street Circuit, the only track where he has yet to win. This comes after Red Bull Racing's significant triumph at the rain-delayed 2026 Bahrain Grand Prix in Sepang, Malaysia.

Verstappen has dominated many circuits in Formula 1, but Singapore has remained elusive. Following Red Bull's first victory with its in-house engine, Marko noted that Verstappen is feeling confident about overcoming his challenges in Singapore. He remarked on the importance of the recent engine achievement for the team.

Marko indicated that earlier struggles were due to chassis issues, which have now been addressed. He hinted at high expectations for the upcoming race on 11 October, stating that Verstappen believes he can finally secure the win that has been missing from his record.
