Max Verstappen and Red Bull Eye Future with New Developments
Max Verstappen has noted that while there are still areas for improvement, the major upgrades introduced this Formula 1 season have been effective. Following two victories in the last three Grands Prix, Verstappen and Red Bull have regained a strong position in the sport, although they are not in contention for the championship this year.
Currently, Verstappen is close to securing a top-three finish in the drivers' standings, trailing Lewis Hamilton by eight points after the Singapore race. Despite the challenges faced earlier in the season, Verstappen expressed optimism about the team's progress and the performance of their upgrades.
Looking ahead to 2027, Verstappen highlighted the significance of a new wind tunnel that Red Bull will have at their disposal. The current wind tunnel, described as outdated, has been a limiting factor in the team's development. The new facility is expected to enhance their capabilities, although it will not be ready for the initial development of the RB23. The operational timeline for the wind tunnel is anticipated to begin in early 2027, pending calibration and testing.
