Max Verstappen Comments on FIA's ADUO Verdict After Monza Race
Max Verstappen has expressed concerns regarding the FIA's Additional Development and Upgrade Opportunities (ADUO) ranking after the recent race at Monza. He noted that the race highlighted a significant gap in performance related to the deployment of the Mercedes power unit.
Following the Zandvoort race weekend, the FIA confirmed that all manufacturers, except Red Bull Ford Powertrains, received a token under the ADUO system. Red Bull, which has been leading in internal combustion engine performance, remains dissatisfied with the ranking and has sought clarification from the FIA.
Despite the official announcement, Verstappen indicated that discussions between Red Bull and the FIA are still ongoing. He pointed out that the current measurement system only evaluates the internal combustion engine, neglecting the electrical components of the power unit. This limitation has exposed Red Bull's weaknesses, particularly in electrical deployment, which became evident during the Monza race.
