Max Verstappen Discusses Issues with Red Bull RB22 Ahead of Monza Qualifying

Max Verstappen has highlighted persistent issues with the Red Bull RB22, noting that components, especially at the rear, are prone to breaking while driving. He expressed frustration over these problems, which he has been reporting for years, as they complicate the car's performance.

Following a challenging Friday practice, Verstappen anticipated difficulties during Formula 1 qualifying at Monza, where he ultimately secured the sixth-fastest time, trailing polesitter Pierre Gasly. After the session, he remarked on the car's fragility, stating that certain parts are inadequate for race conditions.

Verstappen explained that the car's bouncing affects its handling, leading to lost lap time. He acknowledged that while the team is aware of the issues and is attempting to address them, solutions have yet to materialize. He also mentioned that the ongoing problems have led him to take fewer risks during races, although he clarified that the current issues do not pose a safety risk like previous aerodynamic failures.
