Max Verstappen Secures Sprint Pole at Singapore GP
Max Verstappen claimed the top spot in sprint qualifying for the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix, marking his first time achieving this at the Marina Bay Street Circuit. He will be joined on the front row by George Russell.
Verstappen set a time of 1m31.156s, narrowly beating Charles Leclerc, who finished second. Kimi Antonelli, the championship leader, struggled and will start the sprint race from seventh position, behind several competitors including Ferrari and McLaren drivers.
The qualifying session saw Sergio Perez cause a yellow flag early on due to a crash, leading to a red flag to clear debris. Verstappen's performance in the final moments secured his place at the front, although he faces an investigation for a potential yellow flag infringement.
