Maxwell Hairston Named Starting Cornerback for Bills
The Buffalo Bills featured Maxwell Hairston as a starting cornerback during their recent game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, despite resting most of their starters.
Hairston, who had been recovering from a groin injury and missed the first two preseason games, was included in the lineup alongside second-round draft pick Davis Igbinosun. Coach Joe Brady emphasized the importance of giving Hairston game experience to acclimate him to the environment.
Brady confirmed that Hairston will also start alongside Christian Benford for the Bills' first defensive snap in the regular season. While Hairston has faced injury challenges in the past, Igbinosun has received positive feedback for his performance in training camp, suggesting that the Bills' secondary lineup may still evolve as the season progresses.
