McLaren and Red Bull Win Appeal in Monaco Grand Prix Case

McLaren and Red Bull successfully appealed the results of the 2026 Monaco Grand Prix, leading to the reinstatement of penalties against driver Pierre Gasly.

On June 7, the stewards imposed two five-second penalties on Gasly for speeding in the pit lane, which prompted Alpine to file petitions for review. By June 12, the stewards rescinded the penalties after discovering new evidence.

However, on June 16, McLaren and Red Bull appealed this decision to the International Court of Appeal (ICA). The ICA ruled to uphold the original penalties against Gasly, requiring adjustments to the race classification and championship points.
