McLaren Introduces H-Wing at Italian Grand Prix

McLaren is set to unveil its H-Wing, a modified version of the rotating rear wing, during the Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix at Monza this weekend.

The team has developed this wing, which rotates 180 degrees for different driving modes, after observing Ferrari's similar design during winter testing. Although a prototype was initially brought to the Austrian Grand Prix, it was not tested due to a garage issue. A revised version was later trialed in Hungary, with plans to implement it at circuits where reduced drag is crucial.

The H-Wing's name references the letter H in the Etihad logo on the car, aligning with McLaren's tradition of naming components after branding elements. The team is also introducing a new low-drag rear wing specification and will evaluate additional aerodynamic options during the race weekend.
