McLaren Prepares for United States Grand Prix in Austin
Formula 1 is set to return to the United States, with the United States Grand Prix taking place at the Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas. The McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team is preparing for this event following a week of debriefing and recovery after three demanding races in Azerbaijan, Malaysia, and Singapore.
The Circuit of The Americas, measuring 5.513 km, is known for its challenging layout that incorporates features from various international tracks. McLaren's Team Principal Andrea Stella highlighted the importance of reflecting on past performances, noting that the team's results have not met expectations, with only 33 points earned so far this season. He emphasized the need for continuous improvement and development.
Driver Lando Norris acknowledged the collective effort of the team, stating that his performance directly impacts the team's success. As the season progresses, McLaren aims to capitalize on the remaining six races to enhance their standings in the Constructors' Championship and gather insights for the development of the 2027 car. Chief Technical Officer Rob Marshall mentioned that the team will introduce minor upgrades aimed at improving braking reliability and performance during the race weekend.
