The enhancements included new wheels and wheel covers designed to better warm the front tyres, which contributed to the car's competitiveness in high-speed sections. Despite the success at Zandvoort, McLaren faced challenges earlier in the season, particularly at Monaco, where the car struggled with downforce and tyre temperature management.
