Melbourne has made an initial offer of Pick 47 to Brisbane for forward Will McLachlan as trade negotiations begin.
Melbourne has proposed Pick 47 to Brisbane in exchange for forward Will McLachlan as both teams enter trade discussions.
McLachlan, seeking more opportunities in the AFL, requested a trade from the Lions, with Melbourne emerging as the frontrunner ahead of other clubs like Essendon. Previously, Melbourne had offered this pick to North Melbourne for Zane Duursma, but that offer was rejected.
AFL Media suggests that Pick 47 is a reasonable offer for McLachlan, who has limited experience in the league. Melbourne's list boss noted that McLachlan faced challenges due to a serious injury and competition for spots at Brisbane. The Demons are also pursuing a deal for Duursma and have proposed additional picks for consideration.
