Mets Call Up Dylan Ross for MLB Debut

The New York Mets have promoted right-handed pitcher Dylan Ross to their major league roster, marking his debut, alongside outfielder Nick Morabito, as rosters expanded on September 1, 2026.

Ross, who was selected to the 40-man roster late last season, did not play in any games prior to this call-up. After starting the 2026 season on the minor league injured list, he returned in late April and has recorded a 6.25 ERA over 42 games at three different levels.

Drafted by the Mets in 2022, Ross faced multiple elbow surgeries that delayed his professional debut until 2024. He excelled in the minors last season, achieving a 1.69 ERA and a 30.7% strikeout rate in 32 appearances with Syracuse. However, he has struggled with control, posting a walk rate of 16.8% this year. Meanwhile, Morabito, who has played five games this season, is still seeking his first major league hit.
