Mets' Robert Stock Placed on Injured List with Season-Ending Injury

Robert Stock's season with the Mets has come to an end as he was placed on the injured list on Wednesday due to finger numbness, although his condition is not considered serious.

Earlier in the season, Stock underwent surgery for thoracic outlet syndrome. An MRI revealed poor circulation in his hand, prompting treatment with medication. He was removed from his scheduled start against the Orioles to avoid straining the bullpen.

Stock, who is 36 years old, finished the season with a 5.93 ERA over eight appearances. He expressed his desire to continue pitching in the major leagues for many years to come, stating that aside from circulation issues, his arm is in good condition.
