MGM Resorts' All-Inclusive Packages Draw Younger Visitors to Las Vegas
MGM Resorts has reported that its all-inclusive packages have successfully attracted a new demographic of visitors to Las Vegas. CEO Bill Hornbuckle shared during a recent earnings call that approximately half of the guests who booked these packages at the Luxor and Excalibur hotels were first-time visitors to MGM properties.
Hornbuckle described this trend as both surprising and encouraging, noting that it appears to be drawing a younger customer base. According to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, first-time visitors to Las Vegas made up 10% of travelers last year, with that figure peaking at 24% in 2022.
MGM Resorts was the first major casino operator on the Strip to introduce all-inclusive offers in March. These packages, which start at $330 for a two-night stay, include meals, show tickets, and parking. Despite challenges in the lower-end market, MGM reported a revenue increase of 2.6% year-over-year for its Las Vegas properties, totaling $2.17 billion.
