Miami Dolphins Claim Wide Receiver Jared Wayne from Texans
The Miami Dolphins have claimed wide receiver Jared Wayne off waivers from the Houston Texans, seeking to improve their receiving corps during the bye week.
To accommodate Wayne on the 53-man roster, the Dolphins waived Ryan Miller, who had been a special teams contributor. Wayne participated in all five games for Houston this season, recording four receptions for 65 yards and contributing on special teams.
Wayne, a 26-year-old from Peterborough, Ontario, went undrafted in 2023 after a successful college career at Pittsburgh, where he earned second-team All-ACC honors. The Dolphins, currently at 0-5, are looking for fresh talent to bolster their performance as they prepare for their next game against the New York Jets on October 25.
