Miami Dolphins Hold Tryout for Wande Owens

The Miami Dolphins have invited Wande Owens, a former practice squad player for the Buffalo Bills, for a tryout as part of their efforts to enhance their safety group.

Owens, who went undrafted and played college football at New Hampshire, spent most of 2025 on the Bills' practice squad before being released last week. He previously worked out for the Tennessee Titans and participated in two preseason games in 2025, recording five tackles, including two for a loss.

During his senior year at New Hampshire, Owens led the team with 111 tackles and returned an interception for a touchdown. The Dolphins are currently evaluating their safety options, as their roster features several young players with limited experience. Despite recent standout performances from safeties Dante Trader, Zayne Anderson, and Major Burns, the team continues to explore additional talent.
