Miami Dolphins Release Cornerback Nick McCloud
The Miami Dolphins announced the release of cornerback Nick McCloud on Saturday as part of their roster adjustments. McCloud, who was signed on August 10, had a brief tenure with the team, lasting less than two weeks.
His addition was intended to bolster the cornerback position amid injury concerns during training camp. However, with the regular season approaching, the Dolphins opted not to include him in their plans for the 53-man roster.
McCloud entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2021 after playing at Notre Dame. Over his five-season career, he has played in 63 regular-season games, starting 20, and has experience with several teams, including the Buffalo Bills and New York Giants. His release opens up another spot on the Dolphins' roster as they continue to finalize their lineup.
