Miami Football Program Dismisses WR Cam Vaughn
Wide receiver Cam Vaughn has been dismissed from the Miami football program, as announced by head coach Mario Cristobal during an interview on a local show.
Vaughn, who transferred to Miami from West Virginia, was ranked 160th in the transfer portal and had notable statistics in his previous season, including 35 receptions for 541 yards and four touchdowns. Miami had previously added Vaughn along with two other transfer wide receivers, Cooper Barkate and Vandrevius Jacobs, both of whom are expected to start.
Despite Vaughn's departure, Miami's offense remains strong, featuring Barkate, who had an impressive season at Duke, and Malachi Toney, a first-team preseason All-American. The team also has promising freshmen and a solid second-team lineup, indicating a robust offensive strategy for the upcoming season.
