Miami Opens Season on the Road Against Stanford
No. 7 Miami is scheduled to begin its season on the road against Stanford, a rare occurrence for the team as it marks only the second time since 2015 that they have opened a season away from home.
Previously, Miami started the 2024 season with a 41-17 victory at Florida, which was their only other road opener since 2015. Stanford, on the other hand, began its season with a 37-27 win over Hawaii on August 29.
The ESPN Football Power Index gives Miami a 92.5 percent chance of winning against Stanford. The Hurricanes previously faced Stanford in 2025, winning that game 42-7. Miami has a history of strong performances in California, having won four out of five road games last season, including a notable comeback victory against California.
