Micah Parsons Aims for Week 6 Return Against Cowboys

Micah Parsons, a pass-rusher for the Green Bay Packers, has indicated that he hopes to return for the team's Week 6 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys, scheduled for October 18. Currently, he is on the physically unable to perform list and will miss at least the first four games of the 2026 season due to a torn ACL injury sustained last December.

NFL insider Albert Breer provided insights into the Packers' strategy regarding Parsons, noting that the team is optimistic about his recovery. Parsons is eligible to come off the PUP list after Week 5, allowing him to practice before the game against his former team. The Cowboys originally drafted Parsons in 2021, and he was traded to the Packers in August 2025, signing a four-year contract worth $188 million.

With Parsons sidelined, the Packers are exploring options to fill the gap left by his absence. They have been linked to notable pass-rushers like Maxx Crosby and Jadeveon Clowney. Meanwhile, players such as Barryn Sorrell and Lukas Van Ness are expected to step up, although neither has yet matched Parsons' previous performance, which included leading the Packers with 12.5 sacks in the 2025 season.
