Michael Block Disqualified from Legends Tour Event After Withdrawal
Michael Block, a prominent figure in golf, faced disqualification from the Staysure PGA Seniors Championship in Aberdeen, Scotland, after withdrawing from the event on Sunday.
Block, who gained fame at the PGA Championship three years ago, reportedly arrived late to his tee time due to taking pictures for volunteers. Although he informed his playing partners of his decision to withdraw, he did not properly notify tournament officials, leading to his disqualification.
The Legends Tour clarified that Block left the course without completing the necessary procedures for withdrawal, resulting in an official ruling of disqualification rather than retirement. He also received a two-shot penalty for his late arrival.
