Michael Carter of the Eagles Named NFLPA Community MVP for Week 8

The NFL Players Association has recognized Eagles safety Michael Carter as their Community MVP for Week 8, as announced on Friday.

Carter received this honor for organizing a Baby Shower on the Block event, which catered to 40 expectant and new mothers and their families. The event featured educational panels on topics such as mental health, prenatal care, and fatherhood, and provided attendees with essential supplies for their children.

In response to the recognition, Carter expressed the significance of the award, emphasizing the importance of maternal health discussions in communities facing challenges. The NFLPA will contribute $10,000 to his foundation, and Carter will be eligible for the Alan Page Award at the season's end alongside other weekly MVPs.
