Michael O'Neill Optimistic About Northern Ireland's National Training Centre Plans

Northern Ireland's football manager Michael O'Neill has expressed optimism about the Irish Football Association's plans to establish a national training centre by 2028. The proposed facility will be situated next to the Galgorm Resort, just outside Ballymena, and is designed to feature advanced training facilities and high-quality pitches.

The IFA reaffirmed its commitment to the project last month, despite facing objections from local residents. O'Neill, who has ties to Ballymena, believes that the training centre will positively influence the community and enhance player development for both senior and youth teams.

In addition to discussing the training centre, O'Neill addressed the upcoming Nations League campaign, noting that Liverpool's Conor Bradley is unlikely to participate due to a knee injury. O'Neill anticipates Bradley's return may align with the March 2027 international break, emphasizing the importance of careful management of the player's recovery.
