Michael Penix Cleared to Start Against Bears

Falcons quarterback Michael Penix is set to play in the upcoming game against the Bears after being cleared of any injury concerns.

Penix sustained a rib injury during the fourth quarter of last Sunday’s match against the Ravens, which prevented him from returning in overtime. However, he participated fully in practice throughout the week and was not listed on the injury report released on Friday, confirming his readiness for the game.

This season, Penix has completed 52 of 77 passes for 719 yards, along with three touchdowns and one interception over three starts. Meanwhile, defensive end Za’Darius Smith has passed concussion protocol but is questionable due to a neck injury, and cornerback C.J. Henderson will not play because of a groin injury.
