Michael Penix Participates Fully in Wednesday's Practice
Quarterback Michael Penix participated fully in the Atlanta Falcons' practice on Wednesday, contrary to earlier expectations of limited involvement due to a rib injury. This practice precedes the team's Week 6 matchup against the Chicago Bears.
Penix sustained his injury during the fourth quarter of last Sunday's overtime defeat against the Baltimore Ravens. Falcons head coach Kevin Stefanski indicated that Penix would start this week if he remained healthy, and Wednesday's practice performance supports that outlook.
In addition to Penix, left tackle Jake Matthews also participated fully in practice. However, linebacker Divine Deablo and defensive end Za'Darius Smith were limited due to their respective injuries, while cornerback C.J. Henderson missed practice entirely.
