Michael Soroka Set to Rejoin Diamondbacks on Monday

Arizona's manager, Torey Lovullo, indicated that Soroka is likely to take the mound next week, following the team's decision to option left-hander Kohl Drake back to the minors. Drake had been serving as the No. 5 starter but was replaced after his recent start, creating an opening for Soroka.

In his 15 starts this season, Soroka recorded a 3.07 ERA and demonstrated strong performance metrics, including a 3.60 xFIP. The Diamondbacks signed him to a one-year deal worth $7.5 million, which included incentives. His return is timely as the team is currently in contention for an NL Wild Card spot, holding a half-game lead. Soroka's comeback will be crucial as the team also deals with the absence of other key pitchers.
