
Mick Schumacher Signs with Meyer Shank Racing for 2027 IndyCar Season
Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) has confirmed that Mick Schumacher will drive the team's #66 Honda in the 2027 IndyCar Series, joining returning driver Marcus Armstrong, who will shift to the #60 entry. This announcement was made ahead of the final race of Schumacher's rookie season with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing.
During his debut season, Schumacher earned the Indianapolis 500 Rookie of the Year title and showcased strong performances, including a season-best eighth-place finish at Nashville Superspeedway. He expressed enthusiasm about joining MSR, highlighting the team's ambition and success.
Alongside Schumacher, ENVE Composites, a manufacturer of high-performance cycling components, will also join the MSR program in 2027. MSR co-owner Mike Shank praised Schumacher's progress and potential, noting his impressive adaptation to the competitive IndyCar environment. The team will conclude the 2026 season at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, with Schumacher and Armstrong set to race together for the first time at the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg in March 2027.
