Mike Brown Attributes Knicks' Injury Luck to Unique Medical Staff
New York Knicks head coach Mike Brown has praised his team's medical department for their exceptional handling of injuries this season, especially as many players across the NBA face time off due to injuries.
Currently, the Knicks have only one player, Jose Alvarado, sidelined, while other teams like Minnesota and Indiana are struggling with multiple injuries to key players. Brown attributes the Knicks' relative health to three staff members: Quentin Dolan, Casey Smith, and Anthony 'Chico' Goenaga.
Dolan serves as the Senior Vice President, Player Performance and Science Leader, while Smith is the Vice President of Sports Medicine. Goenaga is the Head Athletic Trainer, overseeing various aspects of player health and rehabilitation. Brown emphasized that these individuals contribute uniquely to the team's success in managing injuries.
