Mike Clevinger Joins KBO's NC Dinos as Injury Replacement

The NC Dinos of the Korea Baseball Organization have announced the signing of right-handed pitcher Mike Clevinger as an injury replacement for Curtis Taylor. This six-week contract comes after Taylor sustained a shoulder injury, and Clevinger will receive $75,000 for his services.

This marks Clevinger's first experience in the KBO at the age of 35. He has been involved in professional baseball since being drafted in 2011 and last pitched in the majors in 2025 with the White Sox. He had a brief stint with the Pirates' minor league team, where he posted a 4.74 ERA over 24 2/3 innings.

Clevinger's career in Major League Baseball spans nine seasons, during which he achieved a 3.55 ERA, primarily during his time with the Cleveland Indians. Although it may be challenging for him to secure a major league contract after this KBO opportunity, a strong performance could lead to further chances in Asia or interest from minor league teams for the 2027 season.
