Mike Evans Set to Play in 49ers Season Opener Against Rams

Mike Evans, the 49ers' newly acquired wide receiver, is expected to play in the team's season opener against the Los Angeles Rams in Melbourne, Australia. This update comes after reports indicated that a recent groin injury he sustained during practice was considered minor.

Evans has faced multiple injuries throughout training camp and will be stepping into a leadership role among the wide receivers, especially with Ricky Pearsall out for the season due to a knee injury and Brandon Aiyuk on the reserve/did not report list. Additionally, tight end George Kittle may also miss the start of the season as he recovers from a ruptured Achilles.
