Mike Macdonald Affirms Trust in Sam Darnold Amid Struggles
Sam Darnold has faced challenges since returning from a hip injury sustained in the season opener, having thrown multiple interceptions in three of his last four games.
Despite these struggles, including a performance with only 168 passing yards in a Week 4 win, the Seahawks are considering backup Drew Lock for future games. Head coach Mike Macdonald has publicly supported Darnold, stating that the team has faith in him and believes he is part of the solution moving forward.
In his five starts this season, Darnold has completed 60.4 percent of his passes for a total of 1,033 yards, along with seven touchdowns and a league-high seven interceptions. The Seahawks will have time to regroup before their upcoming game against the Chiefs on Sunday night.
