Mike Macdonald Encourages Emmanuel Henderson to Aim High as Seahawks Rookie
Emmanuel Henderson, a rookie receiver for the Seattle Seahawks, was selected in the sixth round of the draft and faces competition to secure a place on the team. Head coach Mike Macdonald has expressed a desire for Henderson to aim beyond just making the roster.
Following a preseason game where Henderson caught one pass and contributed on special teams, Macdonald highlighted the importance of Henderson realizing his potential. He emphasized that while special teams play is a factor in Henderson's role, he should also strive to excel as a wide receiver and an All-Pro returner.
Henderson previously played three years at Alabama before transferring to Kansas, where he earned recognition as a first-team All-Big 12 returner and a third-team All-Big 12 receiver. Macdonald believes that Henderson has only begun to tap into his capabilities.
