Mikel Arteta Extends Contract with Arsenal Until 2030
Mikel Arteta has officially signed a new long-term contract with Arsenal, extending his stay at the club until June 2030. Previously, his contract was set to expire next summer, but the 44-year-old manager has committed his future to the Premier League champions.
Since his appointment in 2019, Arteta has significantly improved Arsenal's performance, leading them to their first Premier League title in 22 years last season. He also guided the team to their second Champions League final, where they were runners-up to Paris Saint-Germain, and has secured an FA Cup and three Community Shields during his tenure.
In a statement, Arteta expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to continue working with the club and its supporters. Arsenal's chief executive, Richard Garlick, emphasized the importance of this period in the club's history and the shared ambition to create a winning era under Arteta's leadership.
