Milo Beimers Signs with Viterbese After Unique Van Journey
Milo Beimers, an 18-year-old goalkeeper, has joined Viterbese in Italy after embarking on a van journey from Belfast to find a new club. He traveled approximately 2,000 miles with his father, Kevin, and had several trials lined up, although the final destination remained uncertain.
After a month on the road, Beimers successfully completed a trial with Viterbese, a club in Serie D, located near Rome. He expressed satisfaction with the outcome of his journey, noting the challenges faced along the way and the lessons learned from living in a van.
Beimers aims to help Viterbese achieve promotion back to Serie C and is adapting to the Italian football style and language. He made his debut with the team, keeping a clean sheet in a recent match. The journey has also strengthened his bond with his father, and he hopes to inspire other young players to pursue their dreams through unconventional means.
