Milwaukee Secures Game 1 Victory Over Dodgers
MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Brewers achieved a 2-1 victory against the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 1 of their playoff series at a packed American Family Field. This matchup marks a rematch from the previous year, where the Dodgers swept the Brewers in the NLCS.
The Brewers managed to overcome starting pitcher Tarik Skubal, with Brice Turang hitting a solo home run and Luis Lara contributing an RBI single. Jacob Misiorowski, despite facing challenges during his 4 1/3 innings on the mound, benefited from solid infield defense that limited the Dodgers to just one run.
Misiorowski, a strong contender for the NL Cy Young award, displayed impressive velocity but struggled with command at times. The Brewers' win in this first game sets a different tone compared to last year's series, where they were unable to secure a single victory.
