Minnesota Vikings Eye Jonathan Taylor Trade Ahead of Deadline
The Minnesota Vikings, currently undefeated with a 6-0 record, are reportedly in discussions to trade for Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor ahead of the NFL trade deadline on November 10.
Indianapolis has indicated a willingness to negotiate, with ongoing talks involving several teams, including the Broncos, Packers, Giants, Seahawks, and Vikings. The Vikings and Giants are seen as the frontrunners for Taylor, who has had a strong season with 140 carries for 587 yards and eight touchdowns.
Despite the Vikings' interest, financial constraints pose a challenge, as they have approximately $6.3 million in cap space. The Colts are seeking a trade package similar to what the 49ers offered for Christian McCaffrey in 2022, with an asking price of at least a second-round pick. Taylor's future with the Colts remains uncertain, as reports suggest the owner prefers to keep him, although a trade could be finalized in time for him to play against Buffalo on Monday night.
