Missing Hiker Rescued from Cliff in British Columbia

A 25-year-old hiker, Keshav Jindal, was rescued after being missing for three nights in Strathcona Park, British Columbia. He was located on a steep cliff face by rescue teams on the fourth day of the search.

Jindal had set out to climb Mount Albert Edward with a partner on August 3. After deciding to turn back near Circlet Lake, he lost contact with his hiking partner, who returned to find him missing. A video message sent by Jindal indicated he was starting his descent, but he did not follow a marked trail.

Rescue efforts included aerial and ground searches, but it was not until a helicopter spotted him in a crevasse that he was found. Although unprepared for an extended stay in the wilderness, Jindal was reported to be alive and well. His cell phone battery had died shortly after he separated from his partner.
