Miyu Yamashita Achieves Record-Tying Victory at CPKC Women’s Open
Miyu Yamashita celebrated a significant victory at the CPKC Women’s Open in Edmonton, winning by nine shots on Sunday. The Japanese golfer finished the tournament with a score of 23-under 257, tying the LPGA Tour's record for the lowest gross score over 72 holes.
After leading by six shots following the third round, Yamashita carded a 4-under-par 66 in the final round, which included six birdies and two bogeys. Yuri Yoshida finished in second place at 14 under after a round of 69.
This win marks Yamashita's fourth LPGA victory in just 13 months, following her first major win at the AIG Women’s Open in August 2025. The tournament also featured notable performances from other players, including Kim Sei-young, who placed third at 13 under, and 17-year-old Anna Huang, who tied for fourth at 12 under.
