Miyu Yamashita Ties LPGA Tour Scoring Record at CPKC Women's Open
Miyu Yamashita secured a significant victory at the CPKC Women's Open in Canada, tying an LPGA Tour scoring record with a total of 23-under 257. The 25-year-old from Japan finished the tournament with a four-under 66 on the final day, which included an eight-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole.
This performance matched the 72-hole tour record set by Kim Sei-young in 2018. Yamashita's score also surpassed the previous tournament record of 262, established by Ko Jin-young in 2019. She maintained a commanding lead throughout the event, starting the final day with a six-shot advantage.
Yamashita's compatriot, Yuri Yoshida, finished in second place at 14 under par, while Kim Sei-young took third at 13 under. This victory marks Yamashita's fourth win on the LPGA Tour in just over a year, following her recognition as the tour's rookie of the year in 2025.
