MLB Little League Classic to Feature Cubs vs. Blue Jays in 2024

The MLB Little League Classic will take place again in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, featuring a matchup between the Chicago Cubs and Toronto Blue Jays on August 19, 2024. This announcement was made by commissioner Rob Manfred during an ESPN broadcast while the Milwaukee Brewers faced the Atlanta Braves.

Manfred expressed enthusiasm for the event, highlighting the positive interactions between players and children. The Cubs previously participated in the third edition of the Classic, while this will mark the Blue Jays' first appearance in Williamsport.

In addition to the Classic, MLB is engaged in labor negotiations with the Players Association, with discussions ongoing about revenue sharing and salary structures. Manfred confirmed that the league is committed to playing baseball next year and is actively working towards a new agreement before the current collective bargaining agreement expires on December 1.
