MLBTR Updates Super Two Cutoff Estimate to 2.134 Years

MLB Trade Rumors has updated its estimate for the Super Two cutoff to 2.134 years, based on player transactions through September 14, 2026. This revision follows an earlier estimate of 2 years and 130 days.

The Super Two cutoff determines which players qualify for arbitration based on their service time. Players with at least three years of service automatically qualify, while the top 22% of those with two to three years also qualify if they spent a minimum of 86 days on the active roster or injured list during the previous season.

This year's cutoff has shifted by three days in the past month and may change further due to ongoing player movements. Notably, Quinn Priester is projected to just meet the cutoff at 2.134 years, while others like Jordan Beck and Tyron Guerrero are expected to fall slightly short.
