Mohamed Salah Joins Trabzonspor After Leaving Liverpool
Mohamed Salah has officially joined Turkish club Trabzonspor following a mutual agreement to end his contract with Liverpool a year early. This decision comes after Salah's nine-year tenure at Anfield, where he scored 257 goals in 442 appearances, making him the club's third all-time top scorer.
Salah's departure from Liverpool was marked by a challenging season, which included being dropped from the squad and a fallout with the former head coach. Despite interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia, he has opted for a move to the Turkish Superlig, where Trabzonspor is preparing for the Europa League playoffs after finishing third last season.
While Salah's new contract is rumored to be worth around £17 million per year, it is reportedly less than his previous earnings at Liverpool and significantly lower than potential offers from Saudi clubs.
