Mohamed Salah Joins Trabzonspor, Rejects Saudi Pro League and MLS Offers
Mohamed Salah has decided to join Turkish Super Lig club Trabzonspor, rejecting offers from Cristiano Ronaldo's Saudi Pro League and Major League Soccer after becoming a free agent following his departure from Liverpool.
Trabzonspor confirmed the agreement via social media, stating that Salah will sign a two-year contract lasting until June 2028. The club announced that he would arrive at Istanbul Atatürk Airport on August 5, with plans for a welcoming ceremony to be shared later.
Salah's move to Trabzonspor marks his first experience in Turkish football, making it the sixth club of his career. He will compete in the UEFA Europa League as Trabzonspor aims for Champions League qualification. Despite substantial offers from Al-Ittihad and MLS, Salah's preference for European competition influenced his decision.
