Moicano and Nolan Make Weight for UFC Vegas 123
Renato Moicano and Tom Nolan both successfully made weight on Friday morning ahead of their main event fight at UFC Vegas 123, scheduled for Saturday at the Apex in Las Vegas.
Moicano weighed in at 156 pounds, while Nolan registered at 155.5 pounds for their lightweight headliner. Moicano is looking to build on his recent submission victory over Chris Duncan, whereas Nolan aims for his sixth consecutive win, which would tie him for the longest active UFC win streak in the lightweight division.
In contrast, featherweight fighter Francis Marshall missed weight, coming in at 148 pounds, exceeding the non-title limit by two pounds for his matchup against Dakota Hope. The promotion has not confirmed whether the fight will proceed at catchweight or what penalties Marshall may face. Hope stepped in on short notice after Gaston Bolanos withdrew due to an eye injury. Co-main event fighters Randy Brown and Jacobe Smith both made the welterweight limit at 170.5 pounds.
