Moicano Criticizes Ortega Following UFC 331 Withdrawal

Renato Moicano expressed his frustration towards Brian Ortega after Ortega withdrew from their UFC 331 fight just five days before the event. The cancellation was due to a cut above Ortega's left eye sustained during training, which required stitches and forced the fight's cancellation.

This incident marks the second time Ortega has pulled out of a scheduled fight with Moicano, having previously canceled their bout in March. Moicano is now set to headline UFC Vegas 123 against Tom Nolan on October 31.

Moicano raised concerns about Ortega's reliability in accepting future fights, citing Ortega's history of withdrawals and a missed weight for his last fight against Aljamain Sterling. Despite Ortega's claims of being on weight and having a successful training camp, the injury led to the cancellation of their matchup in Los Angeles.

UFC 331 will still feature 12 fights, including a main event where Joshua Van defends the flyweight title against Alexandre Pantoja.
