MotoGP Secures Two-Year Deal with Silverstone for British Grand Prix

MotoGP has finalized a two-year contract with Silverstone, guaranteeing the British Grand Prix's presence on the racing calendar through at least 2028. This announcement was made just before the UK round of MotoGP, which marks the beginning of the second half of the 2026 season.

The agreement aims to enhance the event's long-term success, following a previous attendance of nearly 100,000 fans last year. To promote this year's race, MotoGP organized a watch party in London during the Dutch GP and relocated the pre-event press conference to the capital.

Silverstone CEO Stuart Pringle emphasized the importance of this extension in reaffirming their commitment to motorcycle racing. The circuit has hosted MotoGP since 2010 and has become a staple on the calendar, with only two races canceled since then due to external circumstances. MotoGP Group CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta highlighted the UK's significant motorcycle racing heritage and the competitive nature of the races at Silverstone.
