Mourinho Claims Not to Have Seen Güler's Elbow Incident in Real Madrid's Victory
Jose Mourinho, the head coach of Real Madrid, asserted that he did not see the incident where midfielder Arda Güler elbowed Sevilla's Peque Fernandez during their match at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The incident occurred in the first half, but referee Mateo Busquets Ferrer and VAR official Guillermo Cuadra Fernandez did not take action, leading to controversy. Güler later scored the opening goal, contributing to Real Madrid's 4-1 victory, which brought them closer to Barcelona in the title race.
Sevilla's coach, Luis García Plaza, expressed his frustration over the lack of a red card for Güler. Mourinho, who has been vocal about his views on Spanish referees since returning to Madrid, claimed he had not seen sufficient footage of the incident despite requests for images.
